MTG will deliver shortform videos from several of its platforms as part of Spotify’s recently launched video service Spotify Shows.

The clips will come from all over the MTG family, including its TV channels, Viasat Sport and streaming service Viaplay and its recently acquired MCNs Zoomin and Splay.

Jakob Mejlhede Andersen, exec VP and head of programming and content development at MTG, said the deal “is a new way for us to use and distribute our content.”

He added: “The platform will be a great way of gathering and marketing highlights from our broad content portfolio to Spotify users not only in Sweden but also in the US, UK and Germany.”

Kajsa Gatenbeck, global business developer at Splay, said it would be offering more than 500 shortform shows, adding that the arrangement will “enable us to offer an additional distribution channel to our talents.”

Sweden-based Spotify launched its Shows section last year, offering video content from ESPN, Comedy Central, the BBC and Vice News, among others.
