MTG moves Mogensen

Scandinavian broadcaster giant Modern Times Group (MTG) has moved a senior exec from its Danish arm to lead content creation at its free TV business across the region.

Morten Mogensen will take the newly created chief content office position at MTG Free TV Scandinavia from November 1.

He is moving from his current role as programme director at MTG TV in Denmark.

MTG said the move was designed to boost content negotiations and acquisitions for its free TV channels. Mogensen will work with programme directors in Norway, Sweden and Denmark to plot individual strategies.

He will report directly to the executive VP of MTG’s Scandinavian free TV and radio operations, Anders Jensen.

Mogensen first joined MTG in 2005 as a commissioning editor. He became head of own productions in 2007 and programme director in 2008.
