Manuela Caputi becomes head of international sales at Mediaset Distribution, with a remit across Europe, MENA, Latin America, the US and Asia.

She will co-ordinate all sales activities for Mediaset’s distribution arm, based out of Rome, and is set to attend Napte in Miami next week with a catalogue of more than 500 titles across scripted formats and series.

These shows include miniseries Taodue Film’s Call Me Francesco, about the life of Pope Francis, and fellow Italian drama Tuscan Passion/Le tre storie di Eva, along with doc Harry’s Bar, which explores a famous drinking hole in Venice.

Caputi joined the company in 2008 and before that worked as sales manager at SP Televisao in Lisbon and for NBP Producoes.

“We have a very high-quality production standard and a lot of good stories about not only the mafia and crime, but also love and melodrama,” she said.

Mediaset Distribution also operates two international channels, Mediaset Italia and TGCOM24, and works across coproductions.
