Loud TV partners with Plum

Leftfield Entertainment’s Loud TV has partnered with UK-based Plum Pictures as the latter looks to push into the US.

The firms will work from Loud’s New York offices and co-create formats and original series for the US entertainment market.

It is Plum’s first concerted attempt at cracking the US and the two companies already have a series greenlit by A+E Networks-owned FYI and a project in development at MTV.

Loud TV, launched in 2013 and run by executive producer and president Nick Rigg, already produces Tiny House Nation for FYI.

Plum was launched in 2007 by Stuart Cabb and Will Daw and has created unscripted series including Inside Necker Island for BBC2, George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces and Kid Criminals, both for Channel 4.

Edward Simpson, VP of business development and international for ITV-owned Leftfield, brokered the deal.
