Kudos takes first look at Parti

Shine Group-owned drama specialist Kudos Film & Television has expanded its relationship with UK indie Parti Productions by signing a first-look deal.

The two companies will work together on coproductions across a diverse range of stories from an Asian perspective and nurture Asian talent on- and off-screen to develop dramas for international broadcasters.

It builds on an existing relationship that saw Parti and Kudos co-option the rights to adapt two novels by journalist and author Sathnam Sanghera, The Boy with the Topknot and his second novel Marriage Material. Those projects are currently in development with the BBC.

Nisha Parti, founder of Parti Productions, and Jane Featherstone, CEO of Broadchurch producer Kudos, brokered the deal.

Nisha Parti’s credits include her first feature film Honour, released theatrically in the UK and US this year.
