Keshet bolsters UK unscripted team

The UK-based production arm of Israeli firm Keshet has made three additions to its unscripted development team, including a former Endemol Shine Group exec.

Jamie Ormerod

Jamie Ormerod has joined Keshet Productions UK as director of development. He co-created formats including Golden Balls and Tenable while at Endemol Shine, where he was creative director. Ormerod has also worked as an executive producer for UK indie Tuesday’s Child and pubcaster the BBC.

In addition, Tom Sutton has arrived as senior development producer and Alice O’Brien has been hired as development assistant producer.

Sutton has worked in entertainment development and production for the past 15 years, producing on hit shows such as I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, Big Brother and You’re Back in the Room.

O’Brien joins having previously worked on entertainment shows such as Tattoo Fixers and The Only Way is Essex.

The hires are designed to further grow Keshet Productions UK’s unscripted portfolio, which is led by creative director for non-scripted David Williams. The department’s recent credits include ITV2’s Celebrity Showmance and E4’s Walk of Shame Shuttle.

The company launched in 2012 as part of the Keshet International group and is led by MD Sammy Nourmand. It is best known for Channel 4 comedy-drama Loaded and BBC1’s adaptation of drama format Yellow Peppers, as The A Word.
