RTL in Germany has ordered six episodes of Meet The Parents, to be made by ITV Studios Germany, with production starting this year.

The show, from ITV Studios for ITV, sees a single girl question the parents of five guys hoping to find their perfect partner.

The deal comes a week after ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVSGE) secured an option agreement for new fixed rig format The Job Interview (Label1 for Channel 4) with Canadian production outfit Force Four Entertainment.

On top of these shows, ITVS will launch new entertainment, factual entertainment, quiz and gameshow formats in Cannes.

ITVS’ slate includes Cash Trapped (Possessed for ITV), The Letter (Sirens Media for ABC Family), Celebrity Home Secrets (Sunnyside for ITV), My Dog, Your Dog (Imago for Vox), Yes Chef (ITV Studios for BBC1), Youtubers (Formata for Sony), Top Class (ITV Studios for CBBC) and What You Don’t Wanna Know (United for DR3).

It adds to a portfolio of returning shows including The Chase, I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, Come Dine With Me and Hell’s Kitchen. ITV2 show Love Island, which returned for a second run in the summer, also features.

Also new from ITVS is 5 Gold Rings, a gameshow developed by ITV Studios label Possessed and Talpa, which will be launched by Talpa Global at Mipcom.

“We’ve got a really nice mix of formats to introduce to buyers this Autumn – our range spans studio based shiny floor, quiz, location and fixed rig,” said Mike Beale, exec VP of global development and formats at ITV Studios.

“It’s a great illustration of our portfolio approach, we believe we have something for everyone, across the whole spectrum of budgets.”
