Hulu salvages ABC’s Selfie

The remaining episodes of axed ABC sitcom Selfie are heading to US video-on-demand platform Hulu.

The freshman comedy was cancelled by the US network earlier this month with seven episodes left to air following poor ratings.

But series creator Emily Kapnek used her Twitter account to spread the news that Hulu has come on board to make the remainder of the show available.

She wrote: “Unofficially? All remaining episodes of #SelfieABC will soon be on Hulu, Hulu Plus & ABC.com. Hugs to Peter Roth @warnerbrosTV.”

Selfie is loosely based on George Bernard Shaw’s 1912 play Pygmalion and stars Karen Gillan as the social media-obsessed Eliza Dooley. It is produced by Piece of Pie Productions in association with Warner Bros Television.
