History seals Six return

Walton Goggins in Six

History in the US has extended its military drama Six into a 10-part second season before the first has finished airing.

The show is produced by A+E Studios in association with Weinstein Television and has been written by William and David Broyles.

The first eight-part season of Six, which stars Walton Goggins, premiered on History in January and follows the daily operations of a special team of Navy SEALs in the US military.

Military dramas have proliferated over the past six months, with USA recently extending its army series Shooter into a second run. Four pilots along similar lines have also been ordered, including For God & Country for NBC, Valor for The CW and Behind Enemy Lines for Fox.
