History bashes out Detroit Steel

History in the US has ordered an unscripted series set in Detroit that follows the work of a car customisation garage.

Detroit Steel will centre on Mobsteel, which customises vintage cars, and is being produced by US-based Hoff Productions.

The eight-part show debuts on January 28 at 22.00 and is being exec produced by Michael Hoff, Bruce Klassen and Alex Hoff for Hoff Productions.

Executive producers for History include Stephen Mintz and Tim Healy. A+E Networks holds worldwide distribution rights.
