HGTV lengthens Love It or List It

Love It or List It’s David Visentin and Hilary Farr

US lifestyle channel HGTV has ordered 20 more episodes of home-improvement show Love It or List It.

The Scripps Networks Interactive-owned cablenet is due to premiere the new season in July 2018, and comes after the last run delivered the channel’s highest ratings – 17 million total viewers – in four years.

Love It or List It follows designer Hilary Farr and property expert David Visentin as they help homeowners decide to renovate their existing property, with Hilary’s guidance, or purchase a new home, picked out by David, to suit all their needs. The series is produced by Big Coat Productions.

The large order follows a similar decision by HGTV to commission 96 new episodes of its beach lifestyle shows, Mexico Life, Caribbean Life, Beach Hunters and Beachfront Bargain Hunt.
