Gusto tucks into healthy living

Canada’s food and lifestyle channel Gusto TV has unveiled a new primetime programming slot focused on healthy eating, and has revealed the first show that will fill it.

The hour-long weeknight slot, Discovering a New America, will run from 20.00 and has been created to allow viewers to watch shows with themes such as the farm-to-table movement, sustainability and non-processed foods.

The first programme will be Good Food America, featuring UK-born chef, athlete and health enthusiast Danny Boome (Recipe Rehab) as he takes a road trip across the US to uncover healthy eating restaurants. It was first produced for Veria Living by US prodco Two River Pictures.

Ottawa-based Gusto TV, founded by established TV producer Chris Knight in December 2013, recently launched an international distribution arm and has also committed to producing more than 100 hours of original 4K culinary content yearly.
