GSN in the US has greenlit two new series for its 2013/14 season, a new version of gameshows Minute to Win It and The Chase.
The network confirmed it has ordered 40 hour-long episodes of Minute from Shine America, which will work from the format owned by its sister company Friday TV.
The show first appeared in the US on NBC in 2010 and those 69 episodes began airing on GSN from July last year. A Spanish-language version airs in the US on MundoFox.
In the show, competitors take on 10 one-minute challenges that involve everyday household items. It will be produced by Michael Binkow (1 vs 100) and hosted by skating star Apolo Anton Ohno.
ITV Studios America, meanwhile, has an 8x60′ order for new arrival The Chase, a quizshow that sees contestants try to answer as many questions as possible in a 60-second round.
“Due to our ongoing commitment to originals, we continue to break ratings records,” said David Goldhill, president and CEO of the all-gameshow channel, during its upfront presentation in New York.
GSN is also bringing back titles including The American Bible Challenge, The Newlywed Game and Family Trade.
