France finds TCB’s Nazi hunt

Hunting Nazi Treasure is distributed by TCB Rights

France’s RMC Découverte has bought a World War Two-focused series that examines the hunt for art stolen by Nazis.

Hunting Nazi Treasure (8×60′) explores how the Nazis looted millions of cultural objects and hundreds of tons of gold bullion between 1933 and 1945.

The show is being produced by the UK’s Saloon Media and BriteSpark Films, with TCB Media Rights distributing.

RMC Découverte and Discovery Nordic & CEE have also acquired Wag TV’s Space Dealers (6×60), which follows traders of space memorabilia and is also sold by TCB.

The shows are on the distributor’s slate for the MipTV market in Cannes later this month, along with World War Two: Witness To War (12×60′) from UK indie Like A Shot and Clash of The Collectables (10×60′) from Australian producer Klinik TV.

Paul Heaney, CEO of TCB, said: “The interest in these titles before we’ve even brought them to market demonstrates that the demand for transactional factual, premium science and seminal history content continues to outstrip supply.”
