Fox goes to The End

MIPCOM: Fox has emerged as the US broadcaster that will air the local adaptation of Turkish drama The End.

The End will be the first Turkish drama series to hit US screens following a deal between Sander Moses Productions and Fox.

The format, represented by Eccho Rights, will be adapted by Twentieth Television.

The End comes from Turkish drama producer Ay Yapim and tells the story of a woman who is sent into a spiral of grief when the plane her husband is travelling in crashes. This suddenly stops when she finds out he never boarded the plane and she then has to negotiate a web of lies to ultimately find her husband.

Eccho Rights recently sold the format into Russia as well as licensing The End as a ready-made show into over 40 countries including Sweden (SVT).

Lined up to work on the US version are Peter Horton, as director and executive producer, and Michael Cooney, as writer.
