Federation to take One Night global

Via Film’s Anders Tangen worked on Lilyhammer

Federation Entertainment in France has secured worldwide rights to a Norwegian romantic dramedy, shot in real time, from one of the producers behind Lilyhammer.

One Night has been produced by LA- and Oslo-based Via Film for Norwegian pubcaster NRK and is described as “a surprising and innovative series about a blind date in the 30-something world of dating.”

The 10×26’ series, which will air on NRK later this year, takes place between 20.00 and 01.00 and sees two people bruised by life and past relationships finding out more about each other.

It is produced by Via Film’s Anders Tangen (Lilyhammer, Norsemen) and has been created and written by Øystein Karlsen (DAG, Lilyhammer) and Kristopher Schau. Øystein Karlsen directs and the premise is based on an idea by Zak Shaikh and Steve Waverly.

The show, which has been produced in both English and Norwegian, is being presented in Paris today during the off-site session 48H of Norwegian Series, organised by the Série Series event. It will also feature at C21’s Content London event later this month during the Hot Properties session.
