Fashion Hero appears with Trace

The Fashion Hero

France-based broadcaster Trace has acquired non-exclusive international streaming rights to TV series The Fashion Hero from Canada’s Beauty World Search.

The deal will see the original 8×60’ series, which debuted on Amazon, added to Trace’s network of more than 30 digital and mobile services. Trace recently launched a new SVoD service in the US and also counts the UK, Brazil and Caribbean as its priority markets.

The series, hosted by Brooke Hogan, was developed by Caroline Bernier, executive producer and president of Beauty World Search, and is based on an online movement which challenges attitudes towards beauty in the fashion industry.

Participants from around the world compete before a panel of designers to feature as role models in their forthcoming international advertising campaigns.

Trace joins a growing list of international broadcast and streaming platforms to have acquired the show, with Amazon streaming the series in 19 territories including in the UK, the US, Germany, Australia and all Nordic territories.

Tubi TV and Vudu Movies on Us are also streaming the series in the US along with cable channels RTL2 in Hungary and TLT in Venezuela.

Beauty World Search recently announced a global independent distribution network of TV sales agents for the finished series and format. Bernier confirmed that the company would “continue to seek more global, regional and local SVoD partners around the world” for the show.
