Disney takes Muppets to Sweden

MIPCOM: Swedish broadcaster Kanal 5 is among the channels to have licensed ABC Studios’ The Muppets from Disney Media Distribution.

Disney’s international programming distribution arm has secured deals with broadcasters in 122 territories, including Sky1 in the UK.

Bill Prady (The Big Bang Theory) and Bob Kushell (Anger Management) are co-writers and executive producers, while Randall Einhorn and Bill Barretta also exec produce. The Muppets is produced by ABC Studios and The Muppets Studio.

The Muppets forms part of Disney Media Distribution’s Mipcom slate of ABC Studios’ series.
