CN cancels Regular Show

Cartoon Network (CN) has cancelled animated series Regular Show after eight seasons.

The show, produced by Cartoon Network Studios about a blue jay named Mortdecai and a racoon named Rigby, premiered on the Turner-owned US channel in 2010.

The programme won a Primetime Emmy Award in 2012 for best animated short-format animated programme. A movie spinoff, Regular Show: The Movie, debuted on CN in 2015. Season eight of will premiere on Monday, September 26.
