Celestial Tiger roams new territory

Asian channels operator Celestial Tiger Entertainment has agreed carriage deals in countries including Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines.

Vietnam’s Yan Media Group has added Celestial Movies-branded primetime programme blocks to Channel B, a new channel for women and families, and youth-skewing music channel Yantv.

Indonesia’s Dens.TV, a new service offering IPTV, OTT and internet services, will carry Celestial Movies, action channel KIX HD and horror network Thrill, as well as Celestial Movies On Demand and KIX Thrill Select.

Olé TV, a multi-platform content streaming service in the Philippines, will carry Celestial Classic Movies as an OTT linear channel, which will also be carried by Papua New Guinea’s first DTH broadcaster, Click TV.

Finally, Sri Lankan pay TV operator Dialog Television will make Celestial Classic Movies available to more than 500,000 households.

The deals come less than a month after Celestial Tiger revealed it had ordered a reality show as its first original production.
