Canada says yes to Bachelor

Canada’s W Network has greenlit a local version of reality series The Bachelor following the inaugural season of The Bachelorette Canada.

Production on The Bachelor Canada will begin in spring next year, with the show set to air in the fall.

The show is produced by Good Human Productions and is based on the US format created by Mike Fleiss and produced by Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television.

Sales of the format are handled by Warner Bros International Television Production.

“The Bachelorette Canada was a colossal hit, resonating with fans across the country, and we’re excited to continue that momentum with The Bachelor Canada,” said John MacDonald, senior VP of women and lifestyle content at Corus Entertainment, which owns W Network.
