C4 votes for Keshet’s President

Mr Student Body President will be available to view on All 4 from Boxing Day

The UK’s Channel 4 has acquired a drama series produced by US-based digital studio New Form for its on-demand channel All 4.

Mr Student Body President (10×12’) is distributed by Keshet International, which agreed to represent New Form’s content globally in October.

The shortform drama is the first to be acquired by C4 specifically for its VoD catch-up service All 4, rather than airing on the main channel first.

It will be available to view in the UK from Boxing Day following the deal, which was brokered by Keshet’s senior sales manager Rose Hughes.

The plot of the youth-skewing series sees an ambitious student body president and his Machiavellian chief of staff maintain their power over a high school by any means necessary.

New Form, which also has scripted series Miss 2059 and Cold being shopped by Keshet, last week received a further US$18m in funding led by UK broadcaster ITV and its Discovery Communications.

The firm was set up with backing from Discovery along with Hollywood producers Ron Howard and Brain Grazer in 2014.
