The series aired in the US last week on foreign programming specialist MHZ Networks as A French Village, translated from its original name, Un Village Français.

The channel has picked up all six seasons of the drama, totalling 72×52’, for its cablenet and subscription VoD service MHZ Choice.

Global sales are handled by 100% Distribution, which has now secured sales to Globosat, MBC and Finnish pubcaster YLE. Sweden’s SVT and Sony-owned SET in Germany have already starting airing episodes. Netflix in France has taken non-linear rights.

The drama follows life in a small village in the French mountains during the German occupation. Each series covers another year of the conflict as it intensifies.

A final season, set in 1945, is currently being worked on by the series’ producer, Tetra Media Studio, for the original broadcaster, France 3.
