Brazil, Germany win Drag Race

Globosat in Brazil and other international broadcasters have acquired RuPaul’s Drag Race from Tinopolis-owned UK distributor Passion Distribution.

The US series, now in its eighth season, will run in primetime on Globosat’s flagship channel Multishow. TLC in Germany has also picked up the programme.

The deals follow the licensing of all seasons by TruTV in the UK, launching with the fourth season from June 1.

Meanwhile, Out TV (Canada) has renewed the show for a seventh season, as has Foxtel’s Lifestyle YOU channel in Australia, which is currently airing the latest season.

RuPaul’s Drag Race is produced in the US by World of Wonder and airs on Logo TV. It follows RuPaul as he guides contestants through a series of challenges in the quest to find the country’s next drag superstar.
