Belgium enters Seven’s Kitchen

A Belgian broadcaster has picked up five seasons of reality culinary show My Kitchen Rules that was developed and produced for Australia’s Seven Network.

The show will air on Belgium’s French-language channel VMMA/VTM, which has already produced six seasons of fellow culinary format My Restaurant Rules.

My Kitchen Rules, produced in-house by Seven Productions, requires aspiring chefs to impress judges with unique culinary tricks and use local ingredients in their dishes.

The format has been produced locally in French-speaking Canada, Lithuania, Serbia and the UK, while the finished programme has sold to more than 160 countries.

Both format and finished programme are sold internationally by Endemol Worldwide Distribution, with further deals set to be revealed during the coming months.
