ITV1’s Life at the Extreme with Davina McCall has found buyers worldwide

BBC Worldwide (BBCWW) and an Australian network have acquired ITV1 primetime series Life at the Extreme with Davina McCall.

The 4×60’ is from UK-based Plimsoll Productions and will air on Nine Network in Oz, as well as in Scandinavia, CEE, Asia and the Middle East after distributor Magnify Media agreed a multi-territory deal with BBCWW.

The series, which was the UK channel’s biggest factual hit for almost three years when it aired earlier this year, looks at animals in countries including China, Denmark, Poland and Australia.

billy_connolyThe deal is the first since reality and wildlife indie Plimsoll took a stake in Magnify, the distributor launched by former DRG exec Andrea Jackson in 2015.

Jackson said that the format is gaining “significant interest” and Magnify has offers from European producers keen to make their own versions.
