BBC3 moves fast for Pistorius doc

BBC3 in the UK has slated a factual special about the high-profile trial of Paralympic athlete Oscar Pistorius, who was found guilty of culpable homicide in South Africa this morning.

Oscar Pistorius: The Truth (1×60′) will explore the trial and reveal how the verdict – that Pistorius was cleared of murder but found guilty of culpable homicide – was reached.

Produced by NBC News’ Peacock Productions, the doc also gained exclusive access to the family of his victim, girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, who was shot in 2013.

It’s the second show aired by BBC3 about Steenkamp’s death, following Oscar Pistorius: What Really Happened, which aired in March.

Steve Anderson is exec producing the show, which has been slated to air September 15 at 21.00.
