Azteca first to take Dori’s Dumb

Mexico’s TV Azteca has become the first international broadcaster to pick up Israeli crime drama format Dumb.

The original was produced by Dori Media Darset for Israeli broadcaster Hot, which has already ordered a second and third season.

It follows a frustrated actress who joins the police as an undercover agent, posing as a high school senior class student.

Azteca’s first season will consist of 60 episodes and start airing in 2018. Producer details are not yet available.

Nadav Palti, CEO of Dori Media Group, described Dumb as “a contemporary fresh and unique urban format that can take place anywhere.”
