US multimedia studio Electus is targeting Spanish-language online viewers with a mix of scripted and reality programming on its new YouTube channel.
NuevOn, which IAC-backed Electus launched Monday, arrives with seven shows aimed at Hispanic audiences.

Near the top of the list is the reality Mi Vida Con Toty, which features Modern Family star Sofia Vergara and her son Manolo González Vergara. Billed as a “voyeuristic mockumentary” the series follows the Vergaras through their Latin-flavored life in Hollywood.
The other series include: Archivos Mortales, a scripted thriller from Chilean production company Efe3; reality competition King of the Floor, about underground breakdancing; and La Gran Royal, a sketch comedy series featuring the Mexican comedy troupe of the same name.
Electus said further programming is to be revealed later, as are details about its forthcoming food and pop culture YouTube channels – trailed last year when the company was named among YouTube’s 100 premium channel partners.
“NuevOn is uniquely positioned to create a tremendous splash in the Hispanic community and beyond with some of the most entertaining shows the web has yet to see,” said Drew Buckley, chief operating officer and head of digital for Electus.
