AMC/Sundance ups distribution exec

AMC/Sundance Channel Global has promoted Marco Frazier to become its senior VP of global distribution in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Frazier, who has worked in the TV industry for more than 20 years, was most recently VP of global distribution and has previously developed international business for AMC/Sundance as well as helping launch Sundance Channel in territories throughout the EMEA region.

Before joining AMC Networks, he was VP of business development at Creative Networks International, where he launched Cult Network Italia. He has also had stints at Italy’s Sitcom, where he worked on new networks including Nuvolari, Alice and Leonardo.

Frazier will be based in Italy and report to Ed Palluth, AMC/Sundance Channel Global’s exec VP of global distribution.

“Marco has been instrumental in helping to expand the distribution of Sundance Channel’s linear and on-demand services since the debut of the network in Europe,” Palluth said, adding that the promotion would help the firm’s “next phase of growth across the EMEA region.”

The appointment is the latest shuffle to the exec pack as parent company AMC Networks gets underway with the integration of Chellomedia, having closed its US$1bn acquisition of Liberty Global’s content arm in February.
