A+E boards Woodcut train series

A+E Networks UK has commissioned local factual indie Woodcut Media to make a documentary series about trains during the major conflicts of the past 150 years.

Combat Trains, which airs later this year on A+E Networks UK’s channel H2, will look at the role played by trains during the American Civil War, the Second World War and Vietnam, among other conflicts.

Each episode in the 8×60’ series focuses on a different train or train line that played a significant role in combat.

The series was commissioned by Rachel Job, director of programming for History and H2 at A+E Networks UK. The series will be distributed internationally by TCB Media Rights.

The documentary has been pre-sold to Foxtel Australia, RMC Decouverte and Discovery Nordic, and will form part of TCB’s catalogue at Mipcom 2015.
