A+E Asia rolls out History Plus

A+E Networks Asia has partnered with digital media and content marketing company Brand New Media to launch its History Plus video service on OTT platform 4ME.

History Plus is a VoD service where users can log in to create video playlists of the most popular moments from the History channel.

Its content includes shortform videos from franchises such as Pawn Stars, Ancient Aliens and The Pickers, along with behind-the-scenes segments from the channel’s newest scripted series, Vikings and Gangland Undercover. It also includes content from Asian shows Hidden Cities Extreme and Special Forces.

“As the TV landscape evolves and viewing habits change, we continue to look for opportunities to engage viewers with our content,” said Prem Kamath, deputy MD of A+E Networks Asia.

“History Plus allows History fans to create playlists of original shortform content from their favourite series, providing a deeper dive into the popular franchises from our linear channel.”
