US broadcaster ABC is moving one of its senior casting execs to the UK to help the firm find emerging writing, producing and acting talent.

Keli Lee, most recently ABC exec VP of casting, is moving to London to become MD of international content and talent at ABC Entertainment Group.

Reporting to president Paul Lee, Keli Lee will work alongside ABC Studio exec VP Patrick Morgan and Samie Falvey, exec VP of comedy and international, as well as the formats team at ABC Television Network.

Paul Lee said: “Keli will play a critical role helping ABC identify new opportunities for talent and content around the world. She has a keen eye and a proven track record when it comes to emerging talent.”

Lee, who is being replaced by Ayo Davis on an interim basis, led casting and talent negotiations for ABC’s network and studio, working on shows including Modern Family, Once Upon a Time, Scandal and How to Get Away With Murder.

She was also behind ABC Discovers, which attempted to recruit diverse talent, and oversees the Latino and Asian Global Outreach Initiative, which identifies and develops international talent.
