ABC Gets Away with Murder in UK

Universal Networks International (UNI) has acquired rights to an ABC Studios legal drama for its flagship channel in the UK.

How to Get Way With Murder, distributed globally by Disney Media Distribution, will air on UNI’s Universal Channel from October, following its debut in the US on September 25.

The show comes from Grey’s Anatomy trio Shonda Rhimes, Pete Nowalk and Betsy Beers and follows a law professor who gets entangled in a murder conspiracy with some of her students.

Nowalk, Rhimes and Beers are attached as exec producers alongside Bill D’Elia (Grey’s Anatomy, The West Wing).

Swedish network Kanal 5 recently acquired the legal drama for its fall schedule.
