TVoD services collar Simon’s Cat

Global transactional VoD providers, including Apple and Google, have picked up the second season of Endemol Shine Group’s animated series Simon’s Cat.

Digital distributor MoMedia has sold the 6×6’ season, as well as Halloween, Christmas and Valentine’s Day specials, which will be available initially for a two-week window on Apple’s iTunes Store in North America, the UK, France and Germany.

Subsequently, it will launch on Google Play, Amazon and a number of other transactional services.

Simon’s Cat follows the antics of a forever-hungry white cat and his down-trodden owner. It is the creation of animator Simon Tofield, whose production outfit of the same name was bought out by Endemol Shine UK in 2015.
