Turner Lat Am signs for Warner formats

Turner Latin America is to represent formats created by Warner Bros International Television Production (WBITVP) in the region.

WBITVP’s Supernanny

The agreement between the two WarnerMedia-owned firms gives Turner Latin America rights to produce local adaptations of WBITVP’s brands in Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Uruguay and Peru for an initial 18-month period.

The titles covered by the deal include parental instruction series Supernanny, Ellen DeGeneres-fronted gameshow Game of Games and scripted series 2 Broke Girls, The Mentalist, ER and Gilmore Girls.

“It is a great honour that Ronald and the WBITVP team have entrusted their formats to us so that we can reinforce our general production division, both for our brands and for third parties,” said Tomás Yankelevich, executive VP and chief content officer of general entertainment at Turner Latin America.

“In Australia and Europe – mainly in countries such as Spain and Germany – the Warner catalogue is largely present and leads the market share. We are confident that this agreement, together with Turner’s strong presence in Latin America, will enable us to extend Turner’s leadership throughout the region.”
