Ten to offer kids’ VoD

Australian broadcaster Network Ten will launch a new children’s VoD service for its revamped online platform Tenplay.

Tenplay Kids will be a dedicated digital hub that features on-demand shows including Totally Wild, Scope, Mako: Island of Secrets and the upcoming Matt Hatter Chronicles.

The service will also offer new shows such as iCarly, Pokémon and a refreshed format of Australian kids’ show Hi-5 House in 2014.

It will be accessible via the Tenplay website and mobile devices and is due to launch on December 9.

The Australian broadcaster revamped Tenplay in September, allowing viewers to stream live content and catch up on the channel’s programming via mobiles, tablets, smart TVs and video consoles.

Its revamp followed ABC’s overhaul of its own service, iView, which recently made its first original commission.
