Televisa nabs Dori vet for US

Mexican media giant Televisa has appointed a veteran distribution exec from Dori Media at its US-based arm.

Andres Santos becomes international sales manager at Televisa USA Development, which develops, finances, coproduces and distributes English-language shows based on existing formats and original concepts to US and international audiences.

He joins Televisa USA after eight years as VP of sales at Dori Media America and four years in a similar role at RCTV International.

The firm is currently working on a local version of Spanish period drama Gran Hotel and has also been behind Lifetime Network’s Devious Maids, among others.

Santos reports to Jonathan South, the recently appointed director of sales for worldwide, with his appointment coming as Televisa’s US production and distribution division looks to increase its English-language output.
