TCB appoints DCD exec for Lat Am

UK-based distributor TCB Media Rights has appointed an executive from fellow sales outfit DCD Rights to work across its operations in regions including Latin America.

Lenneke de Jong, who worked for Endemol Shine Group before DCD, takes the newly created role of sales manager for Latin America, Benelux and Iberia at TCB.

She handled factual, entertainment, drama and arts programming at DCD having started her career in production working on the Spanish versions of The X Factor and The Apprentice.

In related news, TCB has appointed former Channel 4 exec Holly Newey as a senior sales manager to provide maternity cover for Mem Bakar, whose territories include the UK and the Nordic region.

Also set to join the TCB team next month is Nicola Davey, most recently Zig Zag commercial and creative exec, who will provide maternity cover for Claire Runham, who handles acquisitions and coproductions.

TCB has made a series of appointments since being acquired by Kew Media Group last year, including adding Passion Distribution’s Jimmy Humphrey to oversee acquisitions and coproductions.

In May, the company appointed BBC Studios exec Hannah Demidowicz to the new role of commissioning editor, thought to be a first for a factual distribution business.
