STV bolsters factual team

UK-based STV Productions has appointed an executive producer from Oxford Scientific Films following the arrival of Dan Korn as creative director earlier this year.

Peter Collins is coming in as executive producer of factual as the company continues to focus on specialist factual and popular factual series and specials.

Collins was head of development at Oxford Scientific, where his credits included Animal Odd Couples and Secret Life of… He has previously spent time at a variety of indies and BBC Science and will start his new role on January 4, reporting to Korn.

Korn, a 10-year veteran at Discovery Networks International, arrived at STV in June.
