Gusto TV will be the first food channel available on the free, ad-supported STIRR, which rolled out this month on mobile, smart TVs and other connected devices. Its linear streaming channel and on-demand library will be made available to STIRR viewers soon.

The new platform offers a curated blend of local and national channels plus a library of news, sports and entertainment programming tailored to the viewer’s location.

As part of its contribution, Gusto TV offers a number of its original food and cooking shows, including Cook Like a Chef, The Urban Vegetarian, One World Kitchen, Licence to Grill and Spencer’s Big 30.

Gusto TV’s parent Gusto Worldwide Media (GWM) recently revealed the channel will launch as a live TV and on-demand offering on Spanish-language faith and family networks distributor Olympusat’s Vemox OTT platform, offering over 60 hours of original HD programming.

“When we built the brand, our goal was always to take Gusto TV internationally. Fast forward to today and Gusto TV is global,” said Chris Knight, president and CEO of GWM.

Speaking to C21 at Asian TV Forum in Singapore last month, Corey Caplan, senior director of international sales for GWM, said the firm was looking for international partners to link up with on coproductions as well as content and format sales.
