Stallone to star in Puzo project

Sylvester Stallone is set to star in his first TV project, a TV adaptation of Godfather author Mario Puzo’s Omerta.

The drama, yet to be attached to any network, is being developed by Training Day director Antoine Fuqua.

Omerta is the third book in Puzo’s mafia trilogy that started with The Godfather, which was turned into an Oscar-winning film in 1972.

Rocky star Stallone is currently an exec producer on NBC’s reality competition show Strong. He recently said he would not be involved in Fox’s TV series Rambo Blood, based on the films in which Stallone played the lead role.
