Space chews on more Bitten

Canadian cablenet Space has ordered a second season of a fantasy action drama based on a novel about the world’s only female werewolf.

Bitten, which is based on the Women of the Underworld novels by author Kelley Armstrong, tells the story of a woman caught between two worlds after she is bitten by a werewolf and joins an exclusive group known as The Pack.

The second 10×60′ run will be produced for Bell Media-owned Space by No Equal Entertainment, Hoodwink Entertainment and Entertainment One Television, which will also handle international sales.

Space claimed the show’s first season has become its most-watched original series, with the season set to start production in the summer. Bitten’s first season has already been picked up by US network Syfy and HBO Nordic.
