Sky Vision takes Catherine the Great to Mip

UK-based producer and distributor Sky Vision is leading its slate for MipTV next month with dramas including Catherine the Great and Ann Dowd-starring Lambs of God.

Catherine the Great (4×60′) stars Dame Helen Mirren and delves into the politically tumultuous and sexually charged court of the Russian monarch, with New Pictures and Origin Pictures producing for Sky Atlantic and HBO.

Five Bedrooms (8×60), about five loosely connected single friends who pool resources to buy a house, is from Hoodlum Entertainment for Network Ten in Australia, while detective show All the Sins (6×60′) is produced by MRP Matila Röhr Productions Oy for Finland’s Elisa Viihde.

Also on the slate is Lambs of God (4×60′), which stars Dowd (The Handmaid’s Tale) as one of three Catholic nuns whose lives are upturned when an ambitious young priest comes to live on their island. Lingo Pictures produces for Foxtel.

The sales arm of the UK-based pay operator is also offering scripted series including female-focused drama Dominic Savage, I Am (3×60), while Famous & Fighting Crime (4×60′) is from Blast! Films for Channel 4 and see celebrities working alongside police officers.

Other unscripted offerings include Puppy School (4×60′), construction show If We Built it Today (8×60), crime series Killer (40×60′) and Tide (3×60′), which explores the science and human stories from people whose lives are affected by tidal activity.
