Shine rebrands US ops

Shine Group has rebranded its US operations, bringing Shine Americas, Shine USA and its Reveille prodco under the new banner of Shine America.

The new name and logo look to “add clarity” to the company’s operations, which have been through rapid change in the wake of its buy-out by News Corp last year.

“Combining the talented team at Shine America, with such a powerhouse in Shine Group, affords us the unique opportunity to create and produce exceptional programming for US entertainment while simultaneously reaching a global marketplace,” said Carl Fennessy, now Shine America CEO, and Eden Gaha, Shine America president, in a joint statement.

Fennessy was previously Shine USA CEO and Gaha was president of Reveille.

A string of recent senior staff changes has taken place in the run-up to the rebrand, among them the exit of Shine Americas CEO Emiliano Calemzuk in January and Paul Franklin’s switch from Shine Australia to the US last month.

Internationally, Shine earlier this week added former Southern Star CEO Rory Callaghan to its Australian operation. The appointment came a day after Karen Smith and Jamie Monro, co-MDs of Shine TV in UK, left amid a restructure.
