Seven Year Switch originally aired on A+E cablenet FYI

Fox Life in Italy and Nelonen in Finland have commissioned local versions of A+E Networks’ social experiment format Seven Year Switch.

The original US version of the show aired for two seasons on A+E’s US cablenet FYI before switching to sister net Lifetime from season three.

It takes long-term couples who are at breaking point in their relationship and sets them up with different partners for an experimental fortnight after which they decide whether to stay with or leave their original other half.

An Australian version airs on Seven Network. Fox Life and Nelonen will now join Antena 3 in Spain, RTL4 in the Netherlands and Channel 4 in the UK in creating their own versions.

The deals were announced today by Ellen Lovejoy, VP and head of content sales for Americas and formats at A+E Networks.
