Rai Ragazzi orders Alcuni slapstick toon

Gruppo Alcuni slapstick toon Vlady & Mirò

Italian public broadcaster Rai Ragazzi has commisioned a slapstick animated series featuring a raccoon and a bear from local producer Gruppo Alcuni.

Vlady & Mirò (26×5′) follows the two animals as they hole up in a cave to hibernate for winter. Each episode revolves around the raccoon’s dangerous and absurd antics to stop the bear snoring so that it can sleep.

In related news, German children’s broadcaster KiKa is set to air Gruppo Alcuni’s TV series Leo da Vinci (52×13′) after it made its debut recently on Rai Ragazzi.

Set in Florence in 1467, the spin-off to feature film Leo da Vinci: Mona Lisa Mission follows the adventures of a young Leonardo da Vinci and will begin airing on KiKa on March 1.
