ProSieben, ZDF count on The Five

MIPTV: ProSiebenSat.1 and ZDF have taken rights to Harlan Coben-penned StudioCanal drama The Five in Germany.

The Five was made for the UK’s Sky1

The 10-part thriller was originally produced by Red Production Company for Sky1 in the UK. It focuses on a detective who learns that his younger brother, missing for 20 years, is still alive.

StudioCanal is in Cannes this week shopping the series internationally and has secured a German pay TV deal with ProSiebenSat.1 and free TV agreement with ZDF.

Previously the show has been acquired by TIMvision in Italy, Canal+ in France, NPO in the Netherlands, Yes in Israel and Telefonica in Spain, among other buyers.
