Price is Right for Nigeria

The Price is Right has now been licensed in 41 countries

FremantleMedia International has licensed classic gameshow format The Price is Right to a Nigerian prodco.

The deal will see Genesis Studios make three seasons of the FremantleMedia format, taking the total number of adaptations of the show to 41 worldwide.

A broadcaster is yet to be attached.

“We have been looking for a world-class gameshow that would engage and entertain the entire family. The Price is Right is the perfect format for us and we know it will be a big success in Nigeria,” said Olatunbosun Olaegbe, MD of Genesis Studios.

The format sees contestants use their shopping knowledge in a bid to guess the correct price of everyday objects.
