Harriet “Harry” Wild is a retiring literature professor now at one of life’s crossroads. Jolted from a mugging by a young thug, she reluctantly agrees to recover at her son, Charlie’s home, himself a senior police Guard. Despite Charlie’s strong warnings, Harry begins to interfere in her son’s baffling murder case when she notices the murderer has followed a pattern from a well-known play. When Harry and her protégé, Fergus, catch the killer, they quickly find new mysteries to solve which only irritates Charlie more, who needs nothing less that his mother causing trouble at work!
